Butte County Republican Party Elects New Leadership
New Members and Officers sworn-in at Organizational Meeting
Chico – The Butte County Republican Party (BCRP) conducted its organizational meeting on Thursday, December 8th. The BCRP, along with every County Central Committee in the state, conducts this organizational meeting once every four years following the presidential election.
In attendance were Butte County Republican Legislators State Senator Jim Nielsen, Assemblyman James Gallagher, and representatives of Congressman Doug LaMalfa and Assemblyman Brian Dahle.
Senator Jim Nielsen administered the Oath of Office to the candidates who won seats on the Republican Central Committee in the June 7th Primary Election. Committee vacancies were also filled. The following individuals are now officially voting members of the Butte County Republican Party Central Committee:
District 1: Bob Alvarez, Mitch Brown, Nancy Alvarez, Sue Brown
District 2: Laurie Maloney, Loretta Torres, Laura Page
District 3: Saulo Londono, Jack Breuker, Robin Cook, Juleah Cordi, Terry Cleland
District 4: JoAn C. Townsend, Jacqueline Lincoln, Sherry LaMalfa Smith, Barbara Rice
District 5: Steve Crowder, Daniel Wentland, Darrel Wilson, Barbara Coffman, Michael Zuccolillo
The new committee members also elected a new Executive Board to lead the BCRP during their four year term of office. They are:
Chairman: Saulo Londono
1st Vice Chair: Bob Alvarez
2nd Vice Chair: Robin Cook
Treasurer: Mitch Brown
Secretary: Jacqueline Lincoln
The new leadership of the BCRP will focus its efforts on increasing exposure of the organization, recruiting new members, fundraising, registering new voters, and developing a grassroots machine to help elect Republicans in every corner of Butte County.
