Whats the Deal with BCGOP HQ?

Many of you may wonder why the Butte County Republican Party sometimes has a headquarters, and other times there is no headquarters for the county of Butte.  There are several reasons why there is not a year-round headquarters for our area.

We have to pay rent and utilities in order to keep our headquarters open throughout the years, so we choose to save the money.  Republicans tend to get very involved around elections, so we open up our headquarters during election season only.  We also find it is easier to get a wonderful local Republican building owner to donate an empty building for our headquarters if we will only be using it for a few months.

Another reason we do not have a year-round headquarters is that we need volunteers to open up and run it on a regular basis.  Like many organizations out there, the Butte County Republicans find that there are a few dozen enthusiastic people who volunteer for just about everything that needs to be done, while the bulk of Republicans are busy with work, family, and other interests.

We have a meeting of our Republican Central Committee once a month, September through June, and then take a break for two months each summer.  If you are interested in participating in our committee and meetings please email us and we’ll be happy to include you in our meeting notifications.

And if you are enthusiastic about having a year-round Republican headquarters in Butte County, then please put together an idea for that and contact us by clicking the Contact Us link above.
